Introduction

B1.1 Course

The Basic Training B1.1 course will allow you to acquire all the basic knowledge required to obtain certification of Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) for B1 category and will provide you  internship in Line maintenance and Base (hangar).

The course includes theoretical and practical exams, once passed both exams the student will carry out the internship in company, will receive the corresponding certification Part 66 from AESA with recognition of Ministry of Development, Part 147 (EASA).

B1.1 Course Category License

The B1 category licence will allow to it’s holder to issue CRS certificate after line maintenance procedure, including aircraft structure, engine group, electrical and mechanical systems. It is also included within the privileges of this license, replacement of replaceable avionics units in line that require simple tests to verify their correct operation.

B1 category also includes basic maintenance functions as a support staff for C category certified stall, who is in charge of CRS emission for the aircraft after base maintenance.

Knowlegde Level For Aircraft Maintenance License Category “B1”

Basic knowledges for the “B1” categories are indicated by assigning knowledge level indicators 1, 2 or 3 to each relevant subject. The knowledge level indicators are defined as follows:

Level 1

Familiarization with the main elements of the subject.

Objectives: The student should be familiar with the basic elements of the subject, should be able to make a simple description of the whole subject, in common language and with examples and able to use typical terms.

Level 2

General knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of the subject. Ability to apply such knowledge to practice.

Objectives: The student must be able to understand the theoretical fundamentals of the subject. The student should be able to make a general description of the subject, using, where it is appropriate, common examples. The student should be able to use mathematical formulas in combination with the physical laws that describe the subject. The student should be able to read and understand sketches, plans and schemes that describe the subject. The student should be able to apply his knowledge to practice through detailed procedures description.

Level 3

Detailed knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of the subject. Ability to combine and apply independent elements of knowledge in a logical and exhaustive way.

Objectives: The student should know the theory of the subject and the interrelationships with other subjects. The student should be able to make a detailed description of the subject, using theoretical fundamentals and concrete examples. The student should understand and be able to use mathematical formulas related to the subject. The student should be able to read, understand and prepare sketches, plans and schemes that describe the subject. The student should be able to apply their knowledge to practice through following the manufacturer’s instructions. The student should be able to interpret the results of different sources and measurements and apply corrective measures when appropriate.
